All three times I’ve stayed at Blackberry Hideaway have been nothing short of excellent! Whether with family members, friends, or significant others, the cabin is a great choice for both outdoor enthusiasts and “relaxationers” alike. Located close to Helen, Sautee, and Cleveland, GA, cabin-dwellers can spend one day hiking the Appalachian Trail and the next day buying regional souvenirs for loved ones at one of many local shops. The cabin is a short drive from Atlanta, Georgia and ideal for all who want to get away to experience nature from the comforts of a pleasurable home away from home.

As soon as i opened the door, It immediately lowered my blood pressure. There’s a very nice vibe in Blackberry Hideaway. A nice smell, a nice feeling. Roomy and very comfortable. The owners are not just pet tolerant, but genuinely pet friendly. They have thought of everything from your pet’s needs to your own. Toys/dog bowls/calming colors. All the comforts of home and all the amenities. It’s peaceful and quiet, yet exciting to be there. Nothing is over looked. The owners know how to treat their guests. It was so easy to be there. Everything about this stay was easy. Will definitely return.

Blackberry Hideaway has been a weekend getaway and meeting place for my family over the years, and I have many special memories from our time spent there. This is the kind of place where you have plenty of space to do your own thing while still being together with your friends/family. One might be upstairs on the computer or watching a movie, while someone else is in the kitchen cooking dinner, another grilling steaks on the deck, another in the hottub, and the rest of your party watching the downstairs while you work! As for what the towns nearby have to offer: a winery, a granary, fly fishing, an amazing farmers market complete with boiled peanuts and peach ice cream, a few fun restaurants, and of course, a quaint alpine town. Every time I come here, I feel like it’s a home away from home. The owners have certainly made this a special place for their guests–it’s warm and welcoming, unlike other cabins where I’ve stayed in the area. We came from Brunswick, GA. We really enjoyed the time away from everyone. We would definitely come back again. Helen was very fun and interesting. The cabin is beautiful. My boyfriend brought his dog Fluffy and she also enjoyed the stay. The morning we left we woke up to snow! Overall a great experience. Thanks!

We loved the hot tub and jacuzzi, the seclusion was wonderful, and our cat loved being able to perch on the beam across the top of the kitchen. We’ll be back as soon and often as possible. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Thank you for providing such beautiful PET FRIENDLY accommodations! We love to take our “son” Mojo everywhere we can and he loved the cabin. The whole little town is very pet-friendly and it’s been just great to have such quality family time. Mojo loved laying on the deck and soaking up the cold air and we loved the cozy fire and 2 hot tubs. We will definitely tell friends and we hope to be back soon. Have a happy Valentine’s Day.

We enjoyed our stay, it was very relaxing. It was nice to have some time away from the kids. I sure enjoyed spending time with my husband, however I am sure going to miss him so much when he leaves for Iraq in two weeks. Thanks for the great getaway.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________This was the 1st time we decided to escape Florida for the holidays and leave the grandparents, in-laws, obligations & Christmas parties. We sought a peaceful Christmas with just our two sweet girls (4) and (3), and we found it here. We could really enjoy when Santa came and visited the girls. We hiked and just enjoyed the cabin. Our dog came with us and had a blast. Our family did a lot of cooking. The girls would actually complain when they had to leave the cabin to go anywhere because they just wanted to relax. The Blackberry Hideaway made our Christmas absolutely magical. Thanks

Need at least a week! Really enjoyed being able to bring our dog as well. Cabin is great, easy to unwind and relax. The Autumn foliage is truly spectacular. Hope to visit next year for at least a week.

Helen was beautiful as ever. Oktoberfest was crazy. We done a little fishing at Unicoi State Park, caught us a couple of Rainbows. But most of all the rest and relaxation was what we needed. Now it’s time to head back to the real world. We love this place and will come back.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We came in the rain, we made it just in time before some of the roads were closed – we spent the the first three days in the rain – but it was great! We were away from work and no one could ask us to come and help them! We had a great time – the rain finally came out and the dogs went to the park & the beach – all was right in their world. Out stay was great – try the Hofbrau House! The food is authentic German – too bad we found it on the last night! The bed was perfect for my back! Beautiful cabin, great location. Look forward to coming back.

We were divorced June 20th of this year, we had strayed apart. This weekend was for us to see if we could reconnect our hearts. This place is magical and we have found ourselves again. Because of this place, we will begin a new chapter of our lives. And with God’s help we will have the rest of our lives with each other. We will be back before long. My husband and I felt at home the moment we stepped in the door. Everything about the cabin is perfect from the location, to the hot tub, to the decor. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We decided to have a small elopement before Steve got deployed to Afghanistan in October. Got married Friday and found this perfect cabin for a perfect getaway. The Christmas lights were cute. We honestly didn’t stay at the cabin too much, but enjoyed it enough to definitely be coming back. Thank you for the great staff and great weekend!

When looking for a place for our trip, we wanted something secluded, yet close to town, so we had everything we needed, this was perfect. We especially enjoyed the jacuzzi tub upstairs! After a rough day of rafting, it was the perfect place to unwind. Thanks for everything! We plan to make this a yearly trip.

It was exactly what we needed! We enjoyed it!! The hot tub in the loft was wonderful, even though it rained during our stay, that was nice as well. Our first cabin visit but not our last! We will start our own tradition…Holidays, family, couples, any reason to enjoy ourselves and share the peace.

Our wedding was yesterday, April 30th, on the course at Innsbruck. It was very romantic to come back to the cabin and have champagne. We will be back for sure! __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We chose Blackberry Hideaway because the guest bedroom had room for our boys. Also for the hot tub which we all enjoyed. The fire stove was wonderful to have during our cold stay in the mountains. We came back to enjoy it after my husband’s 17K in the mountains on Saturday. It was in the 30s in Helen and 24 degrees at the top of the mountain. We also had a light dusting of snow – how beautiful! We loved our relaxing long weekend at your cabin. Our doggie enjoyed it, too! Thank you!

The stress level has been extremely high lately and this weekend really took the edge off. We are satisfied we will return soon. It was our first Thanksgiving in our marriage and gave us time to appreciate the little things in life. This has been a real blessing.

The cabin decor is cozy, the tubs they are a-hot, a perfect escape from routine society, mmm I like it a lot. Such a joy to awake to birds singing, to indulge in a hot cup of tea, to surround oneself with simple pleasures at such an affordable fee. As a nature lover again I must thank you, for providing the opportunity to get away. Together the beauty of nature and the cabin have caused me to have a very happy birthday.

We spent our 1 year anniversary here and it was beautiful and we loved that we could bring our dogs, Sammy & Randy. Who knows, maybe we’ll start a tradition! The little winery was so cute and they had a nice variety of wines. We went horseback riding in Helen. My husband loved it being the “Boston City Boy” that he is. The guide was very nice and there was an intimate feel. We hope to return very soon.

My husband and I enjoyed the wrap around deck and the nature. The kids seemed in love with the loft. Maybe with time we can reach their inner “naturalist”. We really hope the next time we come we get to see some wildlife like deer or something, but it was wonderful waking up to birds singing and warm sunshine. Thanks for a wonderful “getaway”!

For once I got to travel with the family instead of being carted off to the doggie hotel. My family took me for many wonderful walks and I loved watching everything going on from the deck. I even had a visitor – a local I think – she seemed very concerned about the coming weather and hovered close until her people came home and then she took off. I don’t think thunderstorms are that scary. Great place to unwind! The family seemed to have a great time too. Hopefully we’ll be back soon.

I wanted to get away from our everyday lives. We will be back! PS – I hope next time we’re here it doesn’t rain all weekend. We still loved every minute of our stay!

The layout is beautiful and it felt like home! We loved the big tub and hot tub..we got engaged out there! This is by far our favorite vacation spot; we love the mountains, and downtown Helen was lovely. We ate at Edelweiss for lunch and The Nacoochee Grill for dinner. We highly recommend them both. We got married at Minnehaha Waterfall on Feb. 1, it was great, the sites of Helen were also great. Although it rained a good bit of the time, we enjoyed staying indoors and using the wood burning stove. The log cabin style home is impressive and provided everything we needed for a relaxing time. Our Pekingese, Tater, got a lot of exercise going up and down the stairs.

What a wonderful couple of days we’ve had here in this cozy getaway. The cabin exceeded all expectations. We really had time to relax here this Christmas and just take in the beauty around us. The hot tub, movies and games were a clever addition to our stay. We indeed will be back.

We really didn’t want to go anywhere else because the cabin is so cozy & great. The hot tub is awesome. We brought things like games and movies to keep us from being bored, only to find games & movies already here. I also brought an iron & you had that too! Just about any amenity you could think of was here. The kitchen was stocked better than my own kitchen back home. Today is my husband and I’s 5th year anniversary. We came with his parents who invited us to come as an anniversary and Christmas gift. I couldn’t think of any place better to be on these special occasions than this beautiful cabin. we have talked about starting a tradition of coming every year for the holidays or at least once a year. We enjoyed every aspect of this wonderfully relaxing cabin. we wanted to get away from the city for a bit to unwind. I feel very rested. The wildlife came right up to the back deck. This was the first time I was able to see a woodpecker. The hot tub was amazing! Thank you very much for a wonderful weekend and for keeping the cabin in great shape. A home away from home.

First time we got away with no worries since we did not have to leave our four legged son behind! We all had a great time. Thank you for all the many extras – the security, the entertainment, instructions, suggestions, maps/directions, lighting, kitchen supplies, w/d, iron, extra linens, plus music playing, lights and AC hen we arrived. You’ve got a good gig going here – class touches! Mama kept remarking how nice it was. She never wanted to leave w/such comforts. We only did about half of them because we didn’t want to leave the cabin. Our 4 year old granddaughter Victoria didn’t want to leave at all. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back next year.
